WEBSITE DESIGN
We were approached by Stanton Dahl Architects to design a bespoke web experience, focusing on their key messaging of ‘Designing for the greater good.’ We were required to use the existing brand elements and extend their messaging and visual identity further in a digital space. Designing a unique website for architecture was an appealing challenge. The website needed to be minimal enough to showcase the building projects, but have enough warmth and creative personality to stay true to their brand.
To deliver a successful design solution, we collaborated with Stanton Dahl to understand their objectives for the website and creative outcomes. We conducted competitor research, user profiles and a functionality audit. We found that users of the site include potential and existing clients, industry peers, potential partners, project managers and staff. A key opportunity uncovered by the research was to lean into Stanton Dahl’s storytelling focus, driven by their passion for social impact – something that set them apart from the competition. This was key in our approach in developing a visual system and overarching message for the website.
We delivered a website that showcases their brand’s personality – by incorporating hero photography, stylised typography, playful graphic elements and pops of colour. We created a new visual device that represents their core values: Do Good, Be Good, Make Good. These shapes are also a visual identifier throughout the website, assigning each page to a value category.
