Escaping Scam City is the second season of The Fight of My Life, a gripping, six-part immersive podcast produced in partnership with IJM Australia. It follows the true story of Micah and Ava, a young couple whose search for work lured them into the world of industrial-scale scam centres in Southeast Asia. We led the narrative strategy and production to translate the harrowing reality of ‘cyber slavery’ into a high-impact, cinematic audio journey.

Continuing the legacy

Following the success of Finding Ruby, the podcast’s first season, this second series exposes the calculated mechanics of ‘pig-butchering’ scams and the forced labour behind them. Our aim was to create an immersive audio journey that captures the reality for those inside scam compounds, while also highlighting the deception used to target victims on the other side of the screen. It is an honour to give voice to these stories, using powerful storytelling to raise awareness of the dark intersection between cybercrime and human trafficking.
